DC: What is your favorite color, and why?
K: Pink has always been my favorite color. It strikes this balance of being soft, bold, playful, and bright depending on the shade. No matter how I wear or style it, it makes me feel empowered and confident.

DC: Of all the people in your life and online, who has been your biggest fashion influence?
K: My biggest fashion influence isn’t one particular person. I’m inspired by things in everyday life and picking up details in real life and turning them into an outfit that feels like me.

DC: There’s an intricacy to your work that you’ve developed and curated over time. To what do you attribute this evolution of style and presentation?
K: I attribute my style evolution to breaking out of my comfort zone and experimenting, which includes experimenting with colors, layering, and accessories. Once I stopped dressing based on what I think I should wear, is when I started to develop my own personal style. As I refine my style, I pay less attention to trends and more to wearing what feels natural and brings me joy.

DC: Your selections are high – low, and your style always looks high end. How do you achieve this?
K: I’ve really learned recently how much accessorizing can elevate a look. A simple outfit instantly feels elevated once you add the right details, whether it’s jewelry, a bag, or how everything is layered together. It creates the impression that more thought (and possibly, more money) went into the look, but really it’s just about being intentional with the details.
Your presentation is always bold and bright and neon and fluorescent.

DC: How does the choice to always “go bold or go home” serve you personally and professionally?
K: It pretty much fits my entire personality. For me, fashion is a form of self-expression, and in my personal life I fully commit to whatever I’m doing and don’t hold back, which in turn is reflected in how I dress. Similarly, in my profession as an attorney, I’m decisive and intentional in the decisions I make and I trust my judgment.
DC: What would your fans be interested to know about your life behind the scenes?
K: Something that doesn’t really show through my feed are the hobbies I do outside of work and content creation. I’m an avid reader and have close to 100 books in my collection currently. Overall, I’m more of a homebody and would rather go to bed by 8 and wake up at the crack of dawn to start my day ☺️
DC: Tell us about Retro Stage?
K: Retro Stage is a vintage clothing brand that has styles from almost every decade. I’m definitely inspired by 60s and 70s fashion and they have so many unique pieces that are aligned with my style.

DC: What is your message to young women and men who are starting to express themselves through fashion?
K: Wear whatever you want and dress for yourself! Don’t be concerned with trying to look a certain way, or which fashion accounts have the most followers, or building a “capsule wardrobe”. It’s okay to try new things, even if you end up not liking it. The only rule in my book is don’t dress for approval.
